The 7 Nation Army

Emily's Party:
Since it's our first time performing, we did an okay job. The songs we played: 7NA Intro (copyrighted), 7 Nation Army (our label song) originally by White Stripes, When September Ends originally by Greenday and a very punkish Happy Birthday song.

7NA Intro
This intro was made up by our very own guitarists, Jonathan and Jason. Jonathan was playing a simple riff on the high E string and Jason added something and there we have it, our very own intro with a little bit of my intro label lyrics - "I SAY HEY, YOU SAY YO!"(originally from I say Hey u say Ho). Only few from the crowd actually shouted YO but everybody clapped (I think they just want to give face to newbies =P)

7 NAtion Army
Since this song is our label, we did a very good performance with some minor problems. Guna wasn't playing loud in the chorus and Ashwin still needs to work on the intro of the song. But Jason covered him and when we continue to progress in this song that night, Ashwin was gradually playing better and better! Jonathan's solo on the other hand didn't really made the crowd clapped. Well, he made some very minor mistakes which only the band mates know =P.

Wake Me UpWhen September Ends
Started nicely. The first chorus was a bit of a problem for Jason as he plucked the wrong strings but the crowd supported him. The song began to hype up people when the electric guitar plucked in the ditortion mode. Suits very nicely! Also some minor problems with the drummer. The tempo was gradually getting faster in the solo and also when Guna crashed, he didn't crash with the bass drum. But, it sounds very nice. Ashwin played very well here and I sang well!

Punkish Happy Birthday Song
Since we didn't practise this song properly, we asked Guna to play the tamborine. Very nice. Jason and Jonathan were the only ones playing in the band. I and Ashwin were singing. They added the "You were born in the zoo" and ended it with "You're a Chee Hua Hua". Very funny!

Janusha's Party
The absence of Jason and Ashwin's bass really damaged us badly! Not a very good performance but at least people knows us and also we have potential! Our intro was so messy. But after we played all the songs and continue to jam this song, Janusha's relative (a baby :P) started dancing as Guna added his samba beat .Our theme song,7 Nation Army went well with two intruments. Ashwin was playing the tamborine. Really added some nice sound . Jonathan's solo was crappy but ended nicely. Guna was playing very well but ended one bar after Jonathan stopped playing. The crowd loved it when we started our very Wake Me Up When September Ends. Seriously, they applaud when Guna came in with his drums. This is the first time Jonathan played the WHOLE song! The solo was plain because there was no accompaniment. I sang averagely bcoz the crowd couldn't hear me.The microphone we used was plug into the guitar's amp. That caused the mic to be soft-sounded.Anyways,thanks to Ashwin. He back me up when i couldn't reach certain notes and pitches.

Generally,my band has plenty of space to improve especially me myself. This two performances really show that we need to upgrade or standard in performing and playing.I need to pratice to reach certain notes especially for Beverly Hills.
Before that, I represent my band would like to thank Sam for lending his guitar and amp and also Jon Saw for the bass amp.My appreciatation also goes to Teck Juan for sponsoring our jamming fees. Before I forgot,Emily and Ashley for acoustic guitar and bass guitar respectively.
